As we conclude another productive year, it is my pleasure to share some important highlights and achievements within the Careers space for 2025.

Our Work Experience Program, held in Week 5 of Term 4, was a tremendous success. Students participated enthusiastically in their placements, gaining valuable industry exposure, practical skills, and a clearer understanding of their future career pathways. We extend our thanks to all staff, families, and host employers who supported this important initiative.

Throughout the year, students also engaged in a range of enriching pastoral careers and study-skills activities. These sessions focused on goal setting, subject selection preparation, exam skills, time management, and post-school planning, ensuring students remain confident and well-prepared.

This year, our Year 10 students completed the Morrisby Careers Aptitude Testing, which provides deep insight into their strengths, interests, and potential pathways. This data will also be actively used throughout Years 11 and 12, supporting students as they refine their senior subject choices and prepare for future tertiary, vocational, or employment opportunities.

Throughout the year, I had the opportunity to meet with most Year 12 students individually to map out their career pathways. These conversations were invaluable in helping students clarify their goals, prepare early entry applications, explore tertiary options, and feel supported as they navigated the transition beyond school.

This personalised guidance contributed to an impressive number of students securing early entry offers, resulting in strong tertiary acceptance rates across universities. Our students continue to be recognised for their preparedness, commitment, and strong academic achievement.

We are especially proud to celebrate a remarkable accomplishment: Anna Petrou has been accepted into Berklee College of Music, a world-renowned private college for contemporary music, dance, and theatre in Boston, Massachusetts, to study for a Bachelor of Music Degree . This is an outstanding milestone that reflects both Anna’s dedication and the aspiration we nurture as a school community.

As we approach the end of the year, we remind families that HSC results will be released on 18 December. We extend our warmest wishes to all Year 12 students and congratulate them on their hard work, resilience, and commitment. We wish every student the very best as they pursue their future goals and career aspirations.

As we look ahead to 2026, we remain committed to providing every student with personalised guidance, rich opportunities, and the support they need to confidently pursue their aspirations.
