Wellbeing Report - December 2025
As we come to the end of a busy and productive term, I would like to acknowledge the outstanding work of our Wellbeing and Pastoral Care teams. Their commitment to supporting students academically, socially and emotionally has been evident across a number of key initiatives.
This term, Pastoral lessons have focused heavily on organisation, planning and preparation for the end-of-year assessments and examination blocks. A strong emphasis has been placed on “How to Study,” particularly for our Stage 4 students, who have been guided in developing effective study habits, revision techniques and time-management strategies that will support them well into senior years.
A significant highlight was the announcement of our Year 12 Leadership Team for 2026, including our two newly appointed School Captains. In addition, we congratulated our new Year 10 Peer Support Leaders, selected after a thoughtful and competitive process involving written applications and interviews. These students have already begun demonstrating their leadership capabilities.
One of their first major responsibilities was assisting with our Year 7 Orientation Day. The Peer Support Leaders played an active and enthusiastic role in welcoming our incoming Year 7 cohort for 2026, helping to prepare activities and guiding students through their first experience of high school life.
Our Year 12 Leaders also helped strengthen school spirit by organising a student-led, inter-house Futsal competition earlier this term. The event culminated in a sports-themed mufti day, which successfully raised funds for the St Nicholas Mission. This initiative showcased the creativity, collaboration, and compassion of our senior leaders.
Our annual Activities Day at The Tops Centre provided students with the opportunity to build positive relationships outside the classroom, develop teamwork skills and celebrate the end of the year in a fun, active and memorable environment.
Finally, our term concluded with the Secondary Assembly, which highlighted our “Year in Review.” This special assembly celebrated the many sporting, co-curricular and cultural achievements of our students throughout 2025, and acknowledged the dedication and spirit of our community.
Thank you for your ongoing partnership and support. It has been a wonderful term, and we look forward to an exciting year ahead.
