2025 has been an exceptionally successful and memorable year for Sport at All Saints Grammar. Across both Primary and Secondary, our students have proudly represented the school with passion, resilience, sportsmanship, and a strong sense of community. From the swimming pool and athletics track, to SWISSA and IPSSO competitions, AICES pathways, and the National Schools Event – ASG continues to punch well above our weight.

Our year began with two exciting Swimming Carnivals, where the Primary competition saw Macedonia House finish as champions, while Attica claimed victory in the Secondary Carnival. This strong momentum continued into our Athletics Carnivals, with Attica crowned Primary House Champions, Ionia taking the title in the Secondary Carnival, and Macedonia finishing as the winners of the Infants Mini Athletics. A special commendation must go to Rose Vlahonikolou and Allanah Faith Dion, who both placed in the top three at the CIS Championships while representing AICES – a rare and remarkable achievement that reflects their elite level of performance.

In SWISSA weekly sport, ASG celebrated one of its most successful seasons ever. We secured championship titles in Junior Boys Basketball, Junior Boys Football, Senior Girls Football, Senior Boys Football, Junior Girls Netball, Senior Boys Oz Tag, Open Girls Oz Tag, and Junior Boys Volleyball. These extraordinary results are a testament to the dedication of our student athletes and the expert guidance of their coaches.

Our futsal squads also performed with distinction, with the Under 16 Boys reaching the State Semi Finals and the Under 10 Boys advancing to the State Quarter Finals – both fantastic results on the state stage. Meanwhile, our Primary teams thrived in IPSSO competition, claiming first place in the Southern Pool for Junior Girls Netball, Junior Girls Football, Junior Mixed Oz Tag, and Senior Mixed Oz Tag. The teamwork, enthusiasm, and determination demonstrated by these students were outstanding.

A major highlight of 2024 was the National Schools Event, where ASG not only performed strongly across multiple sports but also celebrated a history-making moment by winning the Boys Futsal title for the second time in three years. We extend a special acknowledgement to Dionisi Theodoropoulos, who has been selected for the NSW Futsal Team, a remarkable achievement when we consider the thousands of players across NSW. We also thank Mrs Dunstan for her leadership and support of our Oz Tag teams throughout their major competition commitments. Additionally, students benefited from new representative opportunities when Mr Keppel and Mr Koliomihos led our Under 14 and Under 16 sides at an NRL-run tackle gala day, providing valuable exposure to higher-level competition and new experiences.

None of these achievements would have been possible without the tireless dedication of our coaching staff. We express our deepest gratitude to all teachers who volunteered countless hours to coach and supervise teams, travelled to competitions, and sacrificed planning time and other duties to ensure our students had the opportunity to participate and succeed. Their passion for school sport goes well beyond results – they are helping shape character, teamwork, confidence, and lifelong memories for our young people.

As we reflect on the year, we do so with immense pride. Our students have formed new friendships across year groups, learned the importance of resilience and responsibility, and displayed exceptional sportsmanship while representing All Saints Grammar. We remain a small school achieving big things – thanks to the hard work and commitment of every player, coach, staff member, and supporter.

Congratulations to all on a truly incredible year of sport at ASG. We look forward to building on this success and continuing to grow in 2025, both as athletes and as a united sporting community.
