2024 has been an exceptional year for Sport at All Saints Grammar, with students achieving remarkable success across a variety of disciplines. From futsal and football to swimming, athletics, and cross country, our athletes have displayed perseverance, teamwork, and skill that have made our school community proud.

A key highlight was the performance of our Under 13, Under 14, and Under 16 Boys Futsal teams, all of whom qualified for the prestigious State Titles. Progressing through the fiercely contested Regional Championships, which included 14 regions with only the top two teams advancing, was an achievement in itself. The Under 16 Boys team excelled, reaching the final but falling short 4-2 to Moriah College. Their exceptional efforts reflect the dedication of the players and coaching staff, cementing their place as one of the state’s top futsal teams.

In the SWISSA (South Western Independent Schools Sports Association) competitions, our teams achieved outstanding results, securing championships in Junior Basketball, Senior Boys Football, Senior Girls Football, and Junior Boys Oz Tag. These results are a testament to our school’s depth of talent and the hard work of both students and staff. On the national stage, All Saints Grammar shone at the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia National Schools Event (GOAANSE), where our Boys Football and Boys Futsal teams were crowned champions, further showcasing our ability to excel in team sports.

At our school swimming and athletics championships, Kyrenia House and Attica House were the respective secondary and primary swimming champions, while Ionia House achieved a remarkable double, winning both the secondary and primary athletics titles. We were pleased with the strong attendance and commend the efforts of all participants. However, we encourage even greater participation in next year’s swimming carnivals to further strengthen our school.

In external competitions, our students performed admirably across multiple levels. At the Greek Orthodox Swimming and Athletics Championships and the IPSHA Swimming and Athletics Championships, our athletes competed with determination and pride. Additionally, our teams had strong showings in SWISSA and AICES swimming and athletics, with commendable results across all categories.

Our Primary School students also excelled in the IPSSO (Inter-Primary School Sports Organisation) competitions. The Boys Football and Junior Netball teams reached the summer finals, while the Junior Oz Tag and Senior Softball teams made it to the winter finals.

In cross-country, our Secondary School teams performed strongly at the SWISSA Cross-Country Carnival, with many students achieving personal bests and displaying exceptional determination. Meanwhile, our Primary School held a successful school-based cross-country event, fostering participation and enthusiasm among younger students while building a solid foundation for future competitions.

Swimming squads at All Saints Grammar, training from Term 1 through Term 4, focused on fostering teamwork and camaraderie while achieving pleasing results. This year’s efforts have strengthened our collective spirit and provided a solid base for next year’s carnivals, ensuring we continue to build on this year’s progress.

As a small school, All Saints Grammar continues to punch above its weight in the sporting arena. From state futsal finals to SWISSA and GOAANSE triumphs, our students have consistently demonstrated commitment, resilience, and sportsmanship. We are incredibly proud of their achievements, which reflect the core values of our community. These accomplishments are a testament to the dedication of our athletes, coaches, and school community, and we look forward to continued success in the coming year.
