Wellbeing Report - June 2025

It’s been a dynamic and rewarding term, with a strong focus on wellbeing, student engagement, and community involvement.

A major highlight has been the launch of The Push-Up Challenge, which has quickly become a valued Secondary School initiative. This program is proudly supported by our Year 10 Peer Support Leaders and aims to raise awareness about men’s mental health while also fundraising for the St Nicholas Mission. In support of this, our recent House meetings have centred around this initiative, encouraging students to get involved while strengthening House spirit and promoting a culture of giving back.

Our Secondary School Assembly this term has placed a spotlight on academic effort and engagement through the presentation of Commitment to Learning Awards. These awards recognise students who consistently apply themselves in class and are genuinely deserving of acknowledgement for their positive attitude and dedication to their studies.

Across the term, students have also had the opportunity to enrich their school experience through co-curricular programs, with enthusiastic participation in both debating and chess competitions. These activities have not only fostered critical thinking and collaboration but also contributed to building confidence and school pride.

Our Pastoral lessons have continued to be a meaningful part of the week, addressing important topics around student welfare, respectful relationships, and positive interactions. These sessions remain a vital tool in supporting the emotional and social development of our students.

Another significant event was the Year 8 and Year 10 Subject Selection Evening, which was a resounding success. The evening received highly positive feedback from students, parents, and staff, who appreciated the opportunity to explore future pathways and make informed choices. In addition, all of Year 10 will take part in the Morrisby Workshop in the coming weeks to help guide their subject selection process.

We also attended the Careers Expo on Thursday 26 June, which provided students with valuable insights into a wide range of industries, pathways, and further education opportunities.

As always, thank you to our students, staff, and families for their ongoing commitment to creating a supportive, vibrant, and forward-thinking school environment. We look forward to continuing this momentum into Term 3.
