All Saints Grammar Class of 2024 excels

All Saints Grammar Year 12 graduates have excelled with the 2024 Higher School Certificate (HSC) results demonstrating once again, the School’s reputation for academic excellence, enabling individual students to excel across a wide range of subjects.

The 2024 HSC results reflect outstanding achievements with a top ATAR ranking of 96.80 achieved by George Galanos-Stellios.

Vasileios Manis was awarded First in Course for Modern Greek Extension, and Leah Katsaros of Beverley Park was named as a Top Achiever placing fourth in the same subject.

When asked to what he attributes his First in Course placement Vasileios is quick to reply: “I credit my teacher who tirelessly worked to ensure that I achieved my highest potential.” Vasileios plans to study teaching in humanities: “My teachers have inspired me to follow the career path of teaching due to the passion and great effort they have put into teaching me, as well as the profound impact they have had on me,” he continued.

There were 15 students listed as 2024 Distinguished Achievers, scoring Band 6 in a subject, across 16 subjects and representing 48 percent of the HSC cohort.

Students achieving an ATAR rank of 90 or above represented 24% of the cohort.

Meanwhile, over 90% of students have been offered early entry into university courses – an astounding result.

In addition to being named a Distinguished Achiever for Business Studies, Mathematics Advanced and Design and Technology, Georgia Betihavas, was nominated to have her Design and Technology major work ‘Aussie Resilient Home’ exhibited at Shape 2024, an exhibition of outstanding Major Projects developed by HSC Design and Technology, Industrial Technology and Textiles and Design students.

Andrea Mavrommatis achieved Band 6 results in Legal Studies and Mathematics Standard 2. Asked if she had any advice for 2025 Year 12 students, Andrea said the key is collaboration, “To collaborate with classmates by sharing notes, essay plans and resources to slim down the workload and to help each other.”

Head of School Elfa Lillis said, “We are delighted for the Class of 2024 and their outstanding achievements. These amazing results tell only part of the story and we should not judge our students by these results alone, but also by the loving, caring and service-oriented adults they have become. We have every confidence that they will transition to the next phase of their lives with self-assurance, hardiness, and creativity, with the courage to face new challenges and defend what is just.”
