From medieval history to the launch pad! 🏰
Year 8 History students have been exploring Medieval Europe, from the feudal system and its social classes to the castles, sieges and warfare that shaped the period.
They put their learning into action by testing catapults they had constructed themselves! With plenty of excitement, competition and some impressive launches, students experienced first-hand one of the technologies used in medieval siege warfare.
It’s a great example of how hands-on learning can bring history to life, turning a lesson about the past into an experience students won’t forget. ⚔️🏰

IPSSO finals bring plenty to celebrate!
Our Junior AFL and Junior Netball teams have represented ASG with plenty of passion, teamwork and determination throughout the IPSSO winter season.
🏉 The Junior AFL team finished top of their group before facing Wollondilly Anglican College in the semi-final. Despite a 50–26 loss, the team bounced back strongly in their final match, defeating William Carey 21–18 to secure an impressive third place overall. What a way to finish!
🏐 Junior Netball also made the finals after a season of steady improvement and teamwork. While the results didn’t go their way in the finals, finishing fourth overall is an achievement the girls can be proud of. Their commitment, growth and team spirit have been fantastic to watch.
Congratulations to all our players for the way you competed, supported one another and represented ASG. 👏

🌟 Come and see us at the Love Earlwood Festival! 🌟
We’re excited to be part of the Love Earlwood Festival on Saturday 19 September, from 11am!
Come along and enjoy a fantastic day of street food, coffee, gelato, live music, cultural dancing, games, rides, face painting and roving entertainment – and make sure you stop by the All Saints Grammar stand on Earlwood Avenue to say hello and potentially win some prizes!
At our stand we'll have a colouring station for the smaller kids, a guessing competition for bigger kids, and for the adults, we’ll be running a raffle to support our Cook for Charity program.
Through Cook for Charity, our students put their learning into action by cooking meals for people in need each week as part of their service learning in support of the Mother Maria of Paris Mission. The program gives students the opportunity to develop practical skills while learning the importance of compassion, generosity and service to others.
Funds raised through our raffle will go towards purchasing ingredients for the program, helping our students continue to cook and make a meaningful difference in our community. ❤️

Our Primary Assembly was a great reminder that every achievement is worth celebrating. From academic and sporting successes to personal milestones and moments of outstanding effort, it was wonderful to recognise the students who have been making a difference and striving to be their best.
A big congratulations to all of our students who were acknowledged – your hard work, dedication and positive attitude make us incredibly proud!
And, of course, there was a little extra excitement as we announced the winner of our Father’s Day Guessing Competition!

This R U OK? Day, we’re looking beyond the question itself and exploring what parents can do when the answer isn't “I'm fine”.
From recognising the less obvious signs of bullying, to helping a child feel safe enough to speak up – and even recognising when our own child may be hurting others – there are important conversations worth having.
Supporting our children means listening without judgement, having the difficult conversations and reminding them that they never have to face challenges alone. 💛

At All Saints Grammar, we believe wellbeing is an important part of helping every student become a Better Person, Better Learner.
R U OK?Day is a timely reminder that looking out for one another starts with something simple: asking, “Are you OK?” But the conversation shouldn’t stop today. The people around us experience ups and downs every day, and a genuine check-in can help someone feel heard, supported and cared for.
For our students, learning to notice when a friend may be struggling, listening without judgement and encouraging them to seek support are important life skills. It’s also a reminder for all of us – students, staff and families – that we each have a role to play in creating a connected and caring community.
So today, take a moment to check in with someone. Ask the question, listen to the answer and, most importantly, keep the conversation going. 💛

Last week, our Secondary Campus held a special assembly to celebrate the achievements of Year 9 students Maria K and Zoe S in the inaugural Pan-Australian Student Competition “Nikolaos Papadakis–Papadis,” organised by the Oceania Branch of the National Foundation for Research and Studies "Eleftherios K. Venizelos.
The national competition invited students from across Australia to research the life, leadership and enduring legacy of Eleftherios Venizelos, one of modern Greece’s most influential statesmen. Through the competition, students developed their research, communication and presentation skills, while deepening their connection to Hellenic heritage.
Born in Crete, Venizelos served as Prime Minister of Greece across eight terms and played a pivotal role in the unification and modernisation of Greece, demonstrating visionary leadership, courage and international diplomacy.
The competition is named in honour of the late Nikolaos Papadakis, who dedicated his life to preserving Greek historical memory and promoting Venizelos’ vision around the world.
We were honoured to welcome Antonis Tsourdalakis, a prominent Greek-Australian community leader and cultural advocate, who joined us to speak about the competition and present the awards. We were incredibly proud to recognise Maria K who took out Second prize in the Secondary School Category, while Zoe S received a participation award for her contribution to this national initiative.
It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate not only their achievements, but also the values at the heart of the competition – Hellenic heritage, academic excellence, leadership and civic responsibility.
Congratulations, Maria and Zoe! We are incredibly proud of your achievements and the way you represented All Saints Grammar on the national stage.

Today, on International Literacy Day, we celebrate the power of literacy to help our students understand the world, express their ideas and connect with others.
At All Saints Grammar, literacy is much more than learning to read and write. It is about developing the confidence to ask questions, think critically, communicate clearly and engage with ideas across every subject and stage of learning.
From the earliest years, when students discover the joy of stories and build their foundational skills, through to secondary school, where they analyse, create, research and communicate, literacy plays an essential role in preparing students to become capable, curious and lifelong learners.
Every book read, question asked, story shared and idea communicated is another step towards becoming a better learner – and a better person.
